Shannon Cranshaw is a young woman of tremendous faith and work ethic.  For Shannon's opponents and critics, this is a dangerous combination.
"My favorite part about basketball is my ability to glorify God through displaying the talents he blessed me with." - Shannon Cranshaw
Shannon has been training with OHoops since she was in 7th Grade.  Through the years that followed, her commitment and dedication to God, and the game of basketball, would propel her into the national spotlight.

Ranked in the Nation's Top 100 for the Class of 2013, Shannon's faith and work ethic paid off.  She was named the 2013 Class 3A State Player of the Year by the FABC, was a McDonald's All-American nominee, and 1 of just 8 finalists for Florida Miss Basketball AND Florida Queen of the Court in 2013.

Ms. Cranshaw averaged 22.5 PPG, 5.2 APG, and 4.2 RBG her senior year at Father Lopez Catholic High School, shot a ridiculous 60% from the field and 88% from the charity stripe and led the Green Waves to the 2013 Class 3A State title. Shannon's list of accolades is extensive, but a few of her personal favorites include being a member of the National Honor Society, the French Honor Society, participating in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Best Buddies and Special Olympics.
"...OHoops has cultivated my character and has helped me grow into the young woman I am today.  That to me has been OHoops greatest impact. Thanks to the incredible trainers who serve as mentors as well, I've learned that who you are as a person is far more important than what capabilities you have with a basketball." - Shannon Cranshaw
Shannon has decided to take her faith and talents to George Washington University to play for the Colonials and major in biology.  Shannon has aspirations to become a neurosurgeon one day.

At the time, current owner of OHoops Irwin Hudson was his basketball coach. Ever since, he has made OHoops his Official Training Facility in Orlando, Florida.

"I've got a small circle that just works with me...I've got a trainer in Orlando, Irwin Hudson, who I work with hours upon hours just on my overall game: shooting, ballhandling, conditioning, getting stronger." - Chandler Parsons (Watch Interview)

As a senior in High-School, Chandler was recognized as the MVP of the state championship game after leading his team to the State Title with 30 points and 10 boards.  He would go on to accept an athletic scholarship to play for the University of Florida.  Playing for Billy Donavan and the Florida Gators, Chandler Parsons would go on to become the First Florida Gator ever to be named the SEC Player of the Year in 2011. That same year, he graduated from Florida with a Degree in Telecommunications.  Chandler would go on to take his talents to Houston after being selected 38th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft.

After two years in the league, Chandler Parsons has emerged as a rising star and a leader. During the 2012-13 NBA Season, Chandler averaged 15.5 PPG, 3.5 APG, 5.3 RPG and shot almost 50% from the field.  The versatile Parsons has spent much of the summer, when he wasn't working out with the USA Olympic Team, here at #theLab working with Coach Hudson and the rest of the #OHoopsCrew.  Follow him and the Houston Rockets this year to see how OHooper Chandler Parsons has taken his game to the next level.

Position: Point Guard
Height: 5'2"
High-School Team: Edgewater High School
College: Wake Forest University

Brooke Thomas is a Coach's Dream.  Being named to the First Team All-State during her senior year in Edgewater and leading the Eagles to a State Championship crown, Brooke took her talents to Wake Forest University. She would evolve into the ideal Point Guard, leading the ACC Freshman in assists while being ranked third among all ACC athletes. Brooke would go on to break Wake Forest's career assist record with 510 and solidify herself as the most reliable player in school history, playing in a school-record 129 games throughout her career.  Standing at just 5'2" tall, Brooke also averaged 2.3 rebounds and was a defensive nightmare for opposing teams, constantly creating turnovers and steal opportunities for herself and her teammates.  She has been training with OHoops since 6th grade and it is our pleasure to feature Brooke Thomas as this week's #OfficialOHooper.

"I've been training with OHoops since I was in the sixth grade.  I can't explain how much Coach Irwin has helped me.  Being in the gym, working on my game, getting that confidence level that allows you to do anything on the court, it translates to more than just basketball.  It helps build discipline.  It helps build work ethic.  It helps build great character.  All things I will continue to use as I begin my career in sports journalism.  Even now at 23, I still go into the Lab from time to time and work out with the OHoops trainers.  Every time I do, I always leave with a sense of motivation to be the best not only on the court, but also in life." - Brooke Thomas

Brook is now a Productions Assistant at Fox Sports Florida

It's not only helped me with my development as a player but also as a person because I can talk to any of the Professors at any time and learn from them. I wouldn't be the player I am right now if I didn't have OHoops." - Matt Milon
