Waell Khalife

Milton, Ontario (Canada)
Class of 2016
Position: Point Guard/Shooting Guard
Height: 5'10"
High-School Team: Bishop P.F. Reding
AAU Team: Milton Stags
Connect with Waell: @Waellk27

Waell Khalife is one of those Point Guards that you hate to guard.  He loves to run the floor and it seems as though he never gets tired.  His speed and vision help him excel at the Point Guard position, but his range allows him to be versatile and play the SG position. He has a high Basketball I.Q. and has strong instincts on the defensive end, making him an above average help defender.  He loves to get his teammates involved, as any true PG does, but he also loves to score the basket which puts an added pressure on the defense every time he's on the court.

This young man is driven to be even more of a threat next season and has put in countless hours, early mornings, and late nights in the gym this summer in order to do so.

"Success starts when you're outside your comfort zone." - Waell Khalife

At the Summer 2013 CIA Bounce's Caribana Classic Waell Khalife was recognized as 1 of the top 60 players there (out of 150) as well as making the Top 20 game for the class of 2016.

Chris "Teazy" Alston

Evanston, IL
Class of 2014
Position: Combo Guard
Height: 6'1"
AAU Team: Full Package South Elite 17U
Connect with Chris: @TeazyFresco

Out of all the phenoms emerging from the great basketball state of Illinois, Chris Alston is no exception. This young man, like the AAU team he plays for, is the 'Full Package'. He can play any guard position on the floor and can even battle down low with his superior athleticism. Chris is fast from coast to coast, and has the ability to not only push the ball during transition, but when he's not finishing above the rim, he is great at setting up his teammates. Another rare aspect of Chris's game is that, though he does possess the athleticism to get to the rim and finish above, he can stretch the D with good range from behind the arc.

"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten" - Chris Alston

He believes that you get what you work for, and it's obvious he's gotten to where he is today not because of his athleticism, but because of his superior work ethic

Gabe McKenzie

Canton, MO
Class of 2015
Position: Guard/Forward
Height: 6'3"
AAU Team: Midwest Strokers
Connect with Gabe: @GabeMcKenzie40

Gabe McKenzie out of Canton, Missouri personifies passion and dedication.  As a sophomore, Mr. McKenzie led the Canton Tigers to an impressive 27-2 record including a birth into the Missouri State Quarterfinals.  Unfortunately for the Tigers, they would go on to lose to the eventual State Champions, but we got a feeling that this upcoming season might end a little differently.

"Gabe is an explosive...versatile player who can play nearly any position and score from nearly anywhere on the court." - Coach Darrell Johnson

Gabe led the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks last season while shooting 55% from the field.  But that was last season.  Check out this young man's highlight film, and then follow the link to his workout video to see for yourself how bad Gabe McKenzie wants that State Title. Watch out Missouri, while the rest of you were enjoying your summer, Gabe was preparing for greatness.

Dedrick Thompson

Midland, TX
Class of 2015
Position: Point Guard
Height: 5'6"
AAU Team: Midland Magic
Connect with Dedrick:@DMan_MixTeam

Dedrick Thompson is an up and coming Point Guard out of Texas. His biggest motivation is remembering the path he has taken to get to where he's at now.

"For the 1st five years of my basketball life, I didn't have a basketball goal to play on.  I played on a trashcan." - Dedrick Thompson

Now, he's a force to be reckoned with, winning multiple All-Tournament Player Awards, including one from the Prime Time Dallas Texas Tournament and making the front sports page of the Midland Reporter Telegram.

Dedrick Thompson has recently been identified as "One of the quickest guards" that Utah Jazz Scout Max Ivany has ever seen from point A to B.
