“If
passion drives you, let reason take the reins.”
The passion you have for the game
is enough to push you to work hard while practicing in the gym, or to give
every ounce of energy you have while lifting in the weight room, but effort is
not the only thing that makes you successful. Your passion gives you the effort
and drive, but your reason gives you the direction and purpose. Without a
reason to workout you might be working as hard as you possibly can, but are you
working smart? Where are your workouts leading you? What results are you
looking for? These are all questions that need to be answered before, during,
and after your workout/game/practice. Set a well-thought out path for yourself
that keeps you driving forward, but at a pace that is realistic. Have a goal in
mind, not only at the end of your path, but small goals along the way to keep
you engaged and motivated to reach your ultimate dream. #OHoops
